About
Levi Goldbaum is a German photographer based in Leipzig. His work explores the strange theatre of everyday life, where ordinary places begin to feel staged, absurd or quietly unsettling. Influenced by 1970s and 1980s horror cinema, subcultural spaces and documentary photography, he is drawn to moments in which reality appears slightly off.
Using color, flash and direct observation, Goldbaum creates images that move between street photography and cinematic fiction. His photographs often turn public spaces into small, uncanny stages, filled with gestures, coincidences and unresolved narratives.
Goldbaum is currently part of the Masterclass in Photography at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. In 2026, he won the Series category at Brussels Street Photo Festival. His work has also been recognized by the Siena Awards, Lisbon Street Photo Festival, Mexico Street Photo Fest, Dublin Street Photography Festival and Leica Street Photo Contest.
Available for editorial, documentary and cultural assignments.
